The Endeavouring Discovery by JennieO-of-Hyrule64 The Endeavouring Discovery by JennieO-of-Hyrule64
Heh hh, just another picture of my wittle baby shuttle Orca Endeavour, but this time I drew her meeting Space Shuttle Explorer (OV-100). Before you ask, 'hey why the heck is she a dolphin and not an orca?', it's because technically, Explorer isn't really a real space shuttle and unlike Space Shuttle Enterprise, that was used to train astronauts in real life on how to properly land a space shuttle (Enterprise also never went to space), Explorer is just a replica that was created for museum display only (which is currently undergoing renovation to fix the inaccurate shuttle cockpit). So instead of creating an orca, I decided to go for drawing Explorer as a Pacific White-sided dolphin since while Orcas are dolphins, Explorer and Endeavour are two very different species indeed. I was originally going to make her inverted colours too, but it came out all weird so I opt to keep her in her natural colour form.

Anyways, both Endeavour and Explorer are my own creations, please don't steal (=^・ω・^)U

That is so cool that your family are NASA fanatics, it's so cool that she was next to Edwards Air Force Base! It's a shame I wasn't born/there when Enterprise was being tested, but hey I've been watching the old archived videos of it on Youtube but still doesn't beat seeing the real thing in person. The only Shuttle I've personally seen is the Endeavour for her Final flight to LAX airport and at the Science Center.

Well . . . ^^U I've actually drawn all of the Space Shuttles (Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, Endeavour, PathFinder, and Explorer) as Orcas/and one PWS dolphin (Just haven't got a chance to upload them) But hey! Don't let me stop you I would actually love to see your interpretation of the Shuttle Enterprise and Discovery!

Thank you so much Orkid! ;w; And oh! I finally created an orca for the Adopt trade design. sta.sh/0clnnfuhxps Since so many people did the Type-A/ Type-C orcas, I decided to try my hand and making a Type-D orca instead. Heh heh I didn't quite get the blocky look on its forehead since this is my second time drawing this orca type but I hope you like it. I'm right now colouring it in. I'll try to have the coloured version up tonight
